News about Portman Collier
As the world entered the pandemic, Portman Collier was involved in a movie collaboration with a documentary companion, based on the astonishing true story of a teenage girl rescued by ten British PoWs during World War II. Last year Portman Collier embarked on sourcing a BAFTA award winning screenwriter and overseeing the script production. Now near first draft stage, executive producer and lead producer Deborah Collier has given the film a new working title.
‘Valia‘ which means will, volition, liberty, courage and concealment across a number of languages fits the theme of the story.
The team involved in the large scale theatrical movie include the daughter of the living survivor, an Oscar Winning executive producer, an award winning documentary producer, an award winning private investigator and two university professors. Deborah Collier who is leading the project was awarded as a ‘Top 10 Global Thought-Leader for Legal and IP’, and ‘Top 10 Global Thought-Leader for Business Strategy’ and ‘Top 100 Most Influential Chief Marketing Officers in the World’. During her career she has organically funded, scripted, produced, directed and monetized over 45-hours of original interactive digital media content, implemented a broadcast subscription platform, as well as podcasts and YouTube channels, amassing millions of views and hundreds of thousands of subscribers. For the last two decades Deborah has been a leading voice on the risks and impact of disinformation and misinformation on humanity, as observed in WWII and evolving today. Through this work she and the other project members aim to not only captivate a global audience and enable successful investment, but to educate and inspire humanity toward a positive future.
